The Shogun
The Shogun was the most powerful person in Japan during the Feudal Period. Most people think that the Emperor was the leader but he wasn't, he was only in charge of Religion and Politics but even the politics was slowly creeping to the Shoguns side. The Shogun was the person that controlled all of Japan. Daimyo's all around Japan were fighting for the role of "Shogun" but as Shogun you were kept in Kyoto. Which was the biggest most protected province in Japan. Since Kyoto was The Largest castle, The shogun that lived there could hold and Train lots of units at once. The shogun was also a war lord that from time to time would fight his own battles. There has been For different Shogunates:
